The mentorship journey is one that requires commitment on both sides. The mentor needs to put in time to transfer knowledge and skills and the mentee needs to keep an open mind and accept the possibility of correction and criticism. The mentor is not a perfect human being. Far from it. It’s from failing forward that I chose to be a mentor and also to keep my word to my mentor to pay it forward. As a mentor to the amazing men and women on our mentorship program, I am pleased to be sharing my Thursday morning with three “rainmakers” as I am called by my mentor.
